We had to think real hard for a nice place to have lunch near Santa Monica’s Third Street when my friend suggested we try Sushi Roku, a beachfront restaurant that was known for its modern Japanese cooking. From its limited lunch menu, we decided on the chicken and the beef teriyaki sets. It turned out to be average Japanese food that I can find just about anywhere only more beautifully plated.
