Reun Pair Thai Cuisine, LA

5257 Hollywood Blvd

We headed out to Hollywood for CD shopping but made a detour to Thai Town in search of this Thai dessert store. What we found instead was this hole in the wall Thai restaurant that served us quite a spread not unlike what I had just had in Bangkok. The tom yum goong (spicy prawn soup) was tasty but not as spicy as I normally have mine, but the yam woon sen (glass noodle salad) though incredible addictive, set our mouths on fire. The green curry was ordinary at best and this was also where I learned that in most Thai restaurants in LA, it is cooked with bamboo shoots in place of the usual Thai brinjal and beans. Good meal nevertheless. Bill was slightly over US$20 for the two of us.
