Beach Road Prawn Mee

I don’t quite know where in Beach Road this prawn noodle place came from, but it reminds me of the noodles that I used to have while in school at the hawker stands located right under Whitley Bridge. Those stands are gone now, but etched in me is the taste of the simple bowl of noodles with a killer chilli sauce, usually with a hint of hae bee or dried shrimp, and the nice large prawns (size depends on the price of the dish) and a side of soup that is chock full of prawn flavour. This prawn mee place serves just that. It can get crowded at lunch time and over the weekends. Prices start at S$4 / US$2.30. Closed on Tuesdays.
