Adam Road No.1 Nasi Lemak

Adam Road Food Centre

I love starting weekends with the traditional nasi lemak – coconut rice served with crunchy ikan billis (anchovies), fried egg, slices of cucumbers and the optional otah (barberqued fish cake) and fried chicken wings. And that which distinguishes a good nasi lemak from an average one is the quality of the chilli sambal (a chilli paste) that you stir into the rice. This version is not too bad, especially when accompanied by the rich teh tarik (Malay style tea).
